Welcome to Jaewon; the prestigious and top secondary private school of the performing arts is now opened to enroll for the school year. Jaewon, known as one of the top elite schools in SouthKorea, was previously exclusive to those of celebrity status. Only those who were in high school years and where working in the entertainment business were admitted to learn within this particular school. After years of discussion the school has opened its doors to the public. News of Jaewon going public spread fast from school to school with students jumping at a chance to get accepted and have an opportunity to study in the same school as their idol.
Students from all over the country apply and/or transfer to participate in their curriculum, and with news buzzing around internationally Jaewon is getting attention from students in foreign countries as well. However, with the millions of applicant not everyone will get that long awaited acceptance letter. It is highly competitive to get into this school. And if you don't get in, you're probably not the only one. The private school has a sole purpose for this year’s enrollment: to admit students with the highest potential in succeeding in the entertainment industry. Being heavily funded by local and foreign agencies & entertainment companies the headmaster of the school has developed the school curriculum to improve the valuable abilities of their students to later on be possibly scouted. On that note, they highly recommend students with substantial talents, those who can sing dance and etc. to apply to their school. Though, even with that it’s even all the more competitive. Auditions are held, try-outs are scheduled and exams are taken, even with an invite you can get bumped if they spot someone with more umpf. Only those who have what it takes (and sometimes those who are well provided for aka wealthy family, system is corrupt sometimes, just saying) have the best chances of enrolment.
Here we will take a closer look at the daily lives of the students that attend Jaewon. All of them living and studying within the walls of their campus. They compete with each other, help each other and learn from each other. All of them working hard and trying to make a name for themselves, well most of them are working hard. It’s not that easy to be recognized when there are so many other stars shining as bright as you are.
